Dedicated Sencha Hou-ou 30g

This light-steamed sencha is made from the highest quality hand-picked tea from the Nishi Green Tea Factory in Kirishima, Kagoshima Prefecture, and blended with teas that have been entered in the National tea fairs.

The traditional shallow steaming method is used to maximize the delicate aroma "essential fragrance" that only high quality tea leaves have. The tea has a rich flavor, and the water color is a thin, clear golden color.

It was awarded a 2-star gold medal at the Great Taste Awards 2022, an international food competition in the United Kingdom.

A beautiful size of leaf, traditional, vibrant in colour, reflecting the light steaming. The pale, bright infusion carries marked sweetness. Crisp on the palate, a little short on the finish, but of great quality while it lasts.
